First off, congratulations to Mari H, Appleton and Tyler H. from Shawano for correctly getting the right answer. Rather than giving the solution, I am going to save it till there's more people submitting guesses. So, if you want to know the answer, you will have to share the page and get more people to "Like" the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/WOwhatRLD Jenni H from Madison, MAri H from Appleton, and Taylor Z from Darboy, WI were the winners from last week. They correctly figured out that when someone is robbing Bert next to a red Ford, the answer is Robert Redford. The hint that you might hear about him in the news was because he turned 77 on the 18th. Since I was on vacation, and didn't have an easy way to upload a new puzzle, I ran this one for two weeks. Thinking that some people may wonder why the puzzle wasn't changed, I wanted to let everyone know the I would return with a new one. So I made a puzzle out of the famous movie phrase: "I'll be back." Was this week to be a record or not? That was my question. I was hoping that I would have a record number of winners or at least entries this week, but it turned out that was not to be. We did get 4 winners, with one person admitting he overheard the answer. Thank you Taylor for your honesty, but since there are no real prizes I guess it doesn't mater. So using the hints that I am a bad speller and this is from the music genre, only four people got the correct answer for two weeks: Jason M Appleton, WI, Jenni H Madison, WI, Mari H, Appleton, WI and Taylor Z. Darboy, WI. These are all bad ways to spell company. The music hint give us Bad Company. Obviously this was harder than I thought. How could I make it easier Even without noticing the little child on the right, starting with "Ice, Ice" can only bring to mind the one hit wonder by Vanilla Ice "Ice, Ice Baby". Hopefully that didn't cause too much of a cerebral itch
Some people thought that the hint was emphasizing the "space between us" and that deserved an honorable mention. But the hint as I intended it was pointing to nothing. Now, if you happen to know any astro-physics major (like I do), they will tell you that space is full of stuff and it's not "nothing". The correct answer is "There's nothing between us." What do you think? Do you think that is too narrow and I should let "space between |
