This was my tribute to Prince Rogers Nelson (June 7, 1958 – April 21, 2016). It is the title to one of his most popular songs: Purple Rain.
Like I said, I like incorrect Guesses. Because if I had thought of it differently, "Incomplete Stop" would have been perfect. But I was thinking about something else/ The hint that I gave was that this had to do with a someone popular in the summer, but not a specific person. After getting the incorrect answer, I think I could have made this puzzle differently. O, well, that didn't happen. So the person I saw in this picture was one of the boys (or girls) of summer: the shortstop.
The word Captain is in the shape of an O and there's also a hint in the word My: Abraham Lincoln's picture. This, of course, refers to the poem written by Walt Whitman in 1865 called "O Captain, my Captain."
Jenni H from Madison, MAri H from Appleton, and Taylor Z from Darboy, WI were the winners from last week. They correctly figured out that when someone is robbing Bert next to a red Ford, the answer is Robert Redford. The hint that you might hear about him in the news was because he turned 77 on the 18th.
